I tried searching here for an answer but couldn't find one.
If I list an item with a quantity of, lets say 10, in a single listing, if all 10 sell, do all 10 count towards my monthly limit? So if I have a max limit of 500, am I now down to 489 (1 for the lsiting and 10 for items sold)?
My wife asked me if I could start selling some of her vinyl decals on my page, but each would have a high quantity and Im trying to decide if I should just open her an account or if I would be better off getting a basic store for the higher limit.
Thank you for any help you can give.

No, a listing counts towards your total.
As to your decals, if you sell as a lot of 100 (listed as such) or a lot of 10000 (listed as such) that is still just one listing counted.
If you listed the same decals using the quantity method (ie:100 available) each individual item will be counted.

Thank you. It would be using the quantity method. So if I had 10 different decals, and a quantity of 10 available of each, that's effectively 100 of my monthly limit. Sounds like a basic store is in my future.

Opening a store will not increase your listing limits @donshe2938 . It's in the terms of service near the top.

Selling limits on your account (as well as category and item limits) may prevent you from creating the maximum number of listings associated with your particular eBay Store subscription.

Slow down a bit would be my advice.
You have a couple different questions here so I don't want you to get confused.
Having a single listing for 10 different decals on one listing [a variation listing] is counted as a single listing.
However it is not counted that way in your selling limits. A completely different thing. Go to your Seller Hub and check on what your Selling Limit is as you can't have more listings posted in a month that exceed your Selling Limit. Review the link so you better understand the process.
When a seller desires to increase their selling limits, they are allowed to request an increase once every 30 days. Mark your calendar and every 30 days request an increase until you have your selling limit well above anything you think you will ever need. Below is a link to where you can go to ask for a selling limit increase. It is the third option in the link below.
