Item Placement Date

How do I know the date an item was listed for sale on a seller's account? 🤔

Item Placement Date

You don't have access to that information unless you watch and follow the listing yourself.

I think it's a good thing.  I have some silverware that has been listed for longer periods because they are less popular patterns.  That does not mean they are without value, just fewer people want it so it takes longer to find a buyer.   If they saw the date they might be inclined to think there was a problem with the product when the issue is demand for the product not the listing itself.

@toysaver

Actually you can determine the original listing date, it takes a bit of effort but I was able to determine that your Billy Goat (303737235807) was initially listed on Oct 22nd 2021.

@u2_vintage : If you are viewing search results in galley form (below), the original listing date is shown on the right:

If the item listed is an auction, the start date shown will be its first appearance, even if it is a relisting.
