Item Descriptions, benefit of doubt

Some days I wonder if anybody reads the description.
Some days I wonder if anybody looks at more than the 1st picture.
Always thought it was just One Of Those Days and that most people actually do read descriptions.

I might be wrong.
Listed a couple of things on FB MP yesterday (I rarely do that).
1) It seems what I listed to be EXTERMELY POPULAR. (the same on ebay doesn't appear to get near the traffic/response).
2) Out of 61 messages in the last 24 hrs.   47 had not read the description.  I mean, NOT AT ALL.
3) I think getting things returned to me on eBay, and me paying for it....Might be better than having to deal with FB loonies.  LOL

I have been on eBay 20 yrs I can say with certainty buyers don't read descriptions. They see the title and picture, nothing else.
I know nothing about FB I don't subscribe to it.

It's like the wild wild west of selling...and buying 😂
It's okay to use pictures of your car when it was new, in order to sell it 10 years later after a tree fell on it.
Same applies to the tree.

Item Descriptions, benefit of doubt

To me face book marketplace is a joke. Only thing I really sold were landscaping supplies I removed from my yard.

Every time I listed "Empty Cardboard Boxes" or anything similar I get a message that the ad violates their policy on WEAPONS. I have had to file an appeal to overturn it. Then if I edit the ad same thing happens. Got a warning next time I will be permanently banned from their site. I was thinking of listing all the NASCAR and railroad items I have on e-bay but wonder if I will trigger their screwed policy if I do.

My sale lately were three orders in April and two so far this month.

Luckily with e-bay I have had only one neutral feedback, but under the positive heading and no returns so far.

Even tries two yard sales two weekends in a row and no one showed up.

Guess I will stick with e-bay until the end of this year and then I will give up on line selling.
