Did you mean:

It's back.. Recommended dimensions and weights.. and it's terrible.

When did they turn this back on.    Every dimension assumes you are selling something new out of the box with original packaging.    Requires more clicks and awareness to get your shipping dimensions correct without overpaying.   Mind you that USPS will refund for overpayment on shipping but I have never seen a UPS or FedEX correction.  Yes heroes I get that you should type in exact dimensions when shipping but sometimes you miss one or 2 in bulk shipping.   Thumbs down to suggested dimensions..

Funny, I thought it was always on.  Odd.  I'm just in the habit of checking every new listing to make sure I guess.

Then you haven't been paying attention. These boards are LOADED with complaints from shippers RE severe additional billings from UPS and FedEx.

And I am at a loss as to why you object to entering correct dimensions. With the new Cubic Pricing the dimensions are even more important and relevant than the weight. Put in the wrong size, even if the weight is correct, and you wind up paying UP FRONT way more money than you need to. And yes USPS will indeed refund the excess IF THEY CATCH IT.  I wouldn't count on that.

You can turn that off.  On the advanced listing page click on the two arrows on the right side to ‘see shipping options’. Then make sure that autofill shipping details is off.

I actually just had one today where Cubic Pricing ended up making it cheaper for me due to the dimensions. If I hadn't entered the dimensions accurately and had just guesstimated the size of the box, I would have ended up paying more.

They've refunded me a few times.
