Issue with promoted Listings

So I went into Promoted Listings Manager and ended Campaign to create a new campaign as I do every now and then. Well there is an issue with Promoted Listings happening now, figured make a post so others know. If you end a campaign and try to create a new one well you can't...not from the manager anyways. I call CS and they checked and said there is a reported issue happening right now with PL. 

I was able to re-enter listings into a new campaign but only by going into a listing to edit and selecting percentage from there and select ebay's generic campaign ( Listing Campaign - US - 64 ) - you can then after do one listing that way, go into bulk editor and enter all remaining listings into the campaign from there (a lot faster - at least if giving all the same election rate). 

When I ended the campaign, normal function is that you have to wait a bit (usually around 5 min) for the ended campaign to remove from listings. Can view that on your seller hub active listings page. Then normally you can create a new campaign and all listings are free to promote... the issue is right now, when you end and go to create a new one, no listings are available to enter into the campaign, as the glitch is that all listings in the ended campaign are still promoted under active listings - but if you click on the "edit promoted listing" next to each listing, you'll get an error. I went to edit bulk and selected edit all listings, in bulk editor I selected promoted listings and selected change and removed all, saved, then did the above paragraph to re-enter them. 

Anyways, just figured make a post so others know. They said it's a reported issue but as usual have no ETA of when tech support will be fixing it.

Thanks for the heads up - I have 2 campaigns right now running, but my impressions are in the carpola bin.  Have not had time this week to wonder why, but need to get into the weeds on it.  I always know when it changes as my sales are 6-8 or a day and then fall off a cliff.  When the impressions return, so do the sales.

Glad you told me - I was thinking about ending one to see if I could jump-start the PL impressions again, as sometimes that works.

Some many wonky glitches.  It could be a FT job for someone to just post about all of them.  lol

The reason is cause, since last quarterly update, you have to literally end campaigns and create a new one every few weeks... other wise your impressions will plummet (every case not the same and will have different experiences with performance) - that has been my experience since last update. When you create a new campaign the impressions should go back up...they have for me.

I'm not sure my PL problem is part of yours, but...

Yesterday I created a brand new listing using eBay's Sell Item form.  On the form I selected a percentage using my regular PL campaign and Submitted.  The item was listed, but I also got  an error message

"There was a problem adding or updating Promoted listing. You can try again by editing the listing or visiting the Promoted listings dashboard."

Editing that listing didn't help.  Going to the dashboard did nothing but confuse me.  I gave up putting PL on that listing and submitted a "Technical Error Report" via the dashboard.

...and lol, ebay it is huge glitch factory anymore... it's literally full time job just looking at stuff to see if things are performing as should. I learned to checked things like performance and PL daily... just to see if any large drops in views, impressions etc... happen...you can never know for sure, but it's usually a good sign something isn't right, especially if it goes several days.

@tealt  That is actually an older and ongoing glitch with PL. To fix it (one way anyways) - is you have to go back into the edit of the listing, scroll to the promoted section near the bottom, remove it from PL there, save, go back to seller hub active listings, scroll to the listing and promote it from the hover link next to the listing and it will enter to the campaign. This happens both when creating a new listing, or ending and selecting "sell similar" - but it doesn't happen all the time, it's a now and then glitch lol

Yep.  Every day last week sales were way up......Sunday, the Cliff came.  Monday, cliff, Tuesday 1 order, today 5 orders and I tweaked a ton last night.  My PL impressions are way down.

I will end the one that ends in about 11 days and start over.  Thanks for the reminder about how you cannot just let this ride, like you think you can.  Tinker, tinker and tinker some more!

Same, no order now in 3 days for me, but I have listed quite a few new items since then and nothing, views yes, watchers yes, sales no. IDK... I'm sick of trying to figure out what's happening, calling EB is useless that's the only certain. Your left on your own to play "figure this mess out" - sometimes what you do works, sometimes it doesn't. 3 days is odd for me, as know it is for other sellers who have sales (multiple) every day...can happen though, start to worry if spans a week.
