Probably. Legitimate buyers don’t offer way over the asking price. They hope people will be greedy and snap at the high offer, then they try to trick you into believing you’ve been paid and shipping the item, when you really haven’t been paid.
Editted to add: unfortunately, new sellers selling electronic items are magnets for scammers.

I would say @glorybells nailed it.
@spank_8323. You were very wise to come here first and I commend you.
Please use caution at all times those electronic gadgets seem to have flashing SCAM lights that don't turn off.

Because you are a low feedback seller, selling a highly scammed item, it's probably a scam.
That said; it's an auction with a best offer so it's not impossible they are hoping to get the item for less than they think it will be bid up to in the end.
So there's a chance it's legit but I would be very cautious.
Did you check their feedback left for other sellers?

@spank_8323 Your instincts to come here first were correct. Just consider for a moment; a brand new PS4 can be purchased for $450 at Walmart. Why would someone offer you $510 for your used console with a broken disc player?
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and sounds like a duck- it's a duck. Best of luck to you....

No doubt about it. Good chance two of the others are also. Look at the offeror's location, how long they have been an active eBay'er and the feedback although the feedback one holds only minimal value.
I also notice you do not accept returns. As a new seller you may want to read up on exactly what that means and some of the postings on this board regarding sellers false sense of security in using that option.

Or a really drunk chicken. But yeah, safe to assume it's a duck!

He may "buy" it then offer to pay you outside of the ebay system with gift cards etc....
Maybe mistyped or confuses it with a newer system.
sound super squirrely....

The only thing legitimate customers are bidding OVER the asking price for now is REAL ESTATE, everything else scam.

Many different scams going around on EBAY. Common one is to purchase item and then "reverse credit charges" (get to keep item and your money). EBAY will NOT help you if you get scammed.

At the very least, we have to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands.

Since this was an auction item: It may be or may not be a scam.
You are a new user and and easy target item you are selling.
Advice is to let auctions run for the full time: usually any offers are low.
This offer seems a bit to good to be true and most likly is a scam.
Oh and did not find this item on this ID. ????
