Is this a scam?

Hi all.  I've added a new listing after intrest from FB marketplace as i thought out would be easier to post and a safer transaction.   Ive put the listing as an auction for 10 days.  The interested person on fb marketplace has made a high offer through eBay very quickly. Should I accept this. There are notess on the offer screen saying it will charge the buyer straigh away. The buyer looks to only have 1 review and opened their account a few days ago. Hmm?? Many thanks in advance

It would be good, I think, if there was a redirect based on where a user is located (or registered) to get them to the right place.  I will usually click on the "View Listings" link to see what a user has listed.

I'm not trying to come across the way you're inferring. It's difficult to assist someone where I cannot see the listings. Or maybe Ebay works differently in another region of the world than it does here.

SO, yes, a user in the UK would get better help on the Ebay UK message boards.

Oh got it. I don't ship anything on FB. I do all that as local only.

@jerseyboymusic

I totally agree, and suggest if myself quite often.  With texted replies, we do not have the option of viewing facial expressions and other context clues, so messages can seem rather abrupt and out of place.  I have been here since 1998, and only found out the other day why so many UK users show up here in the first place.  I always figured it was some sort of "redirect" or like issue.  It could happen here to us I suppose if eBay.fr  was the first link shown to "find the community".

There we would be...posting in English no less...LOL...

'person on fb marketplace has made a high offer through eBay very quickly'.

It's an 'auction for 10 days'...'should I accept this?'...are you familiar with what auctions are?

Hi @buyer0795

One cannot tell the legitimacy of any user thru a feedback score alone, be it high or low. Be it new or old.

The time to evaluate risk tolerance is prior to listing the item. Once the sale is made, the seller now has a contractual obligation to ship.
