Hello so i just got a messege from a potential buyer and they sent me a picture saying these words.

"If your ok with my offer kindly send me a paypal money request to my email below and as soon as i get the pyamnet request from you the money will be transferred immediatly."

I am a first time seller so i dont know if this is a scam but i feel like it is , any insite would woul dbe very helpfull thank you.

Emails cannot be exchanged from seller to buyer on eBay unless it got changed lately.

I guess that's why you got a picture. LOL

@venom90_907 Yes, this is a scam. It's because you are a new seller. All transactions must be through the eBay system only. Just ignore this person, if you reply back, they will continue to attempt to engage you. Simply delete any further messages from that ID. Best of luck to you....

$100 and up listings.

You have a target on your back.

Do not do anything which tries to go around Ebay policy.

Not only are you at risk of being scammed. You could lose your account for following these instructions because you are cheating Ebay of its fees.

Even worse than that. It amounts to doing a transaction off of eBay which they HIGHLY frown on. Your account may be suspended or cancelled. NEVER do anything outside of eBay channels.

And if you do that you will get a fake email pretending to be from PayPal saying you have been paid. Hoping you will send the item without checking your PayPal account.

Total scam. They must pay thru the payment methods eBay requires to pay. Ignore and block this person. PS New sellers selling expensive items from the start are under eBay's radar. Be careful. They can ask you for receipts for those expensive jackets. If you don't have them, you won't be paid for some time. Again, be careful.
