Is there an archive to my purchase history?

I need to find order details on an item I bought in 2016. The my ebay purchase history only goes back to 2020.

If you used PayPal you can use their Statements link and generate a Custom  CSV report for that time period and download it.  It will open in a spreadsheet program and you can sort columns to perhaps assist in locating the item in question.

ok thanks, I will try to do that if I get some free time. I know that about 4-6 years ago ebay had an archive because I used it. But I can't find it now. I'm guessing eBay keeps records of all transactions.

@li97eaglespu   I seem to recall eBay stating that with the new Managed Payments system they will be able to retain records for 10 years.  But I do not recall them stating WHEN the 10 years would start or if any of that time period would be retroactive with transactions they already have on file ...

PayPal has always kept records for 7 years ...

It is possible to download a report from eBay with old account data including purchase data, though it takes a week to get the report and you must use the link before it expires. The purchase data is very limited: date, seller, item name, price, shipping. No descriptions or photos, just a spreadsheet of transaction data.
