I just noticed I have a notice about losing my Top Rated status next month in the Global Program (fine on the US site) and I have no clue why. Zero's across the board for defects, late, negatives, ect. So I'm wondering did ebay change a requirement without me noticing, a glitch, or something else I'm just missing?

he only thing I can think of is did ebay start counting global transactions sent to Kentucky as a seperate 100 per year from regular US transactions? So in essence you need 100 Global sold through the ebay US and 100 regular US to qualify for both?

They did make some changes in the fall. At one time all buyers that weren't in the US were counted as global buyers. They changed it last year (I think that it was in the fall) and buyers from the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria and Switzerland are not counted with global...they are in their own systems. You can see how many of your buyers are are in those categories by changing the region at the top of the page.

I got the same notice.
The only thing is that in all my years here I have NEVER EVER
sold anything outside the U.S.
Whatever ebay. I so don't care.

Hi @mrw2276, the information @pjcdn2005 provided is correct. We now count global transactions separately from your domestic, UK, Germany, Ireland, Austria, and Switzerland sales in order to provide a more accurate depiction of those markets. When we announced this change, we stated that sellers who were currently Top Rated in those markets would keep that status until February 20th, 2018. Beginning with the February 20th evaluation and moving forward, sellers will need to meet the Top Rated requirements globally in order to retain that status moving forward.

Ditto. In fact I started a post about it last week or so when I couldn't figure out why I'd be losing TRS. Good thing it did was make me dust off my dormant selling account because no sense loading up just the main account if I wasn't getting a discount. Also made me double check some items that I didn't feel like going to the effort to move over. Have three big boxes waiting for the next chairty pick up.

If you got the same message it meant that you were going to lose TRS global status, that doesn't affect your US TRS status in any way.

Brian I'm lucky to 10 international buyers per year . that isn't 1% . Ebay killed killed off my international sales with GSP . So how can ebay count them for for part of the TRS discount.

I'm not Brian but it has nothing to do with your TRS discount if you have TRS for the US.
If a seller has global TRS and US TRS they get the same 10% as anyone else. If they lose one of those, they still get 10%. There is no real benefit for a US seller to have both global and US TRS except that they will have a TRS badge in the countries that it covers.

I'm above standard in UK/IE and TRS everywhere else. You can have one, two, or all three. I've had ONE sale to the UK in the last, oh, three or four years lol all the rest of my int'l transactions are overwhelmingly to Canada or Australia.

I don't think so.
I've been Global TRS for a very long time, I don't get squat for it (other than a stupid yellow ribbon on the international sites). If you aren't U.S. TRS, you don't get any 10% discounts.
The whole program looks like a sham to buyers... how can this seller be "Top Rated" if I view his listings on eBay.ca, but he's not "Top Rated" if I view his listings on eBay.com?

You’re right, I worded that wrong. I should have said that a US seller who has global trs and US trs wouldn’t lose any benefits if they lost global trs.
I have trs on the .ca site and not on .com as the rules are slightly different on each site but since most buyers stick to one site I really don’t see that as a problem. I wonder how many buyers even notice the trs badge, I know that I don’t pay much attention to it.
