Needing help with how to show on item that you have a special one time sale on certian inventory other than the promotion tool types suggested? Thank you in advance for your assistance. Al

Is there a legal way to apply text on a photo indicateing a special or than promotion tool?

According to eBay’s policy on adding pictures to your listing they say this. 

  • Don’t overlay text such as “Free postage” or seller logos. That kind of information should go in the title, subtitle, or item descriptionAdding Pictures To Your Listings  

I would assume they mean any sort of text . Perhaps you could put “SALE” or similar verbiage in the title if it fits to suit your needs.

  • Photos that don't accurately represent the item
  • Placeholder images used to convey messages
  • Stock photos for used, damaged, or defective items
  • Photos with added borders
  • Photos with added text, artwork or marketing material
  • Watermarks of any type, including those used for ownership attributions…”
