Hello folks,
Thanks a lot for reading this post. My question is pretty simple, is selling phone cases for a user like me (with not a lot of ratings at all) a dead end?
I've got about a 100 for sale, and it is for a new phone (Samsung Galaxy S8), I've got good pictures, and a fair price (plus free shipping and accepting 30 day returns), yet in almost 30 days my post only got less than 40 views.
When I search for my post I don't even see it the first 5 pages of eBay, which leads me to think there is no chance for someone with my ratings to sell a phone case in such a competitive place like eBay.
What do you guys think?
Thank you.

With all due respect I think you are pushing the proverbial uphill against a very stiff breeze...lol
Did you see how many phone cases are listed & the prices?
I think you know the answer to your question & I wish you the very best of luck.

First - do the items have UPC's as even if they don't you need to click the Does not apply. Listings without that filled in with either a UPC or Does Not Apply drop lower in search.
Second - Look at some of the listings of similar items and look at the item specifics they've added and their descriptions. You need to tell a little bit more about the product.
Third your listing isn't mobile friendly. Click revise your items - and scroll down to the description box. Above the box on the left hand side is a Mobile Friendly Checker - click that and it will format the listing so you are mobile friendly.
There are a lot of cell phone cases here - but you have them reasonably priced so you should get some sales. Also I see you have USA seller on a Stock picture - try and include US seller in your title and description.
Good luck!

Where there's a will...
Have you thought about a twofer deal? I dunno how much you paid for the cases, but there are ways to make the ones you're selling more attractive. 🙂

Views do not provide income. Have you gotten any sales?
You have 100 listed, but apparently you them all as variations in one listing.
Why not use some of your other 50 free listings to list the different colors with different titles, descriptions, pictures, etc. to see if that changes your luck?

Selling an inexpensive commodity in a crowded market dominated by foreign sellers whose price undercuts your cost of acquisition?
If your goal is to make money, that's not the place to be.

All. Of. This. ^^^^^^^^^
By using more listings instead of just one variation, if nothing else you are increasing the odds of your items even being seen. 50 of hundreds of thousands is better than 1 in hundreds of thousands.
Good luck!

Never mind the competition on ebay which is fierce, but they can be purchased from any kiosk at the mall, where they are everywhere.

You bet.
To the Op: How did you come to get 100 of them anyway? It sounds like you met someone who couldnt sell them and just wanted the whole batch off his hands. I dont think you want to put a whole lot of time and effort into those things if it might be possible for you to sell something else instead?
