This item is new but missing some things. I have listed exactly what they are getting in the description.
Buyer wants me to rereimburse $50 because it doesn't have original packing materials. They also complained about a couple other things not being there even though I listed what is included.
Thanks for any responses.

In item specifics in your listing, it specifies what 'new' means in that category and says that it means new, unopened box in original packaging......
I'm not sure what other conditions are available in that category yours does not sound like it should have been called new.

You listed it as New.. and on your listing it says:
"New: A brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item in its original packaging (where packaging is applicable). Packaging should be the same as what is found in a retail store, unless the item is handmade or was packaged by the manufacturer in non-retail packaging, such as an unprinted box or plastic bag. See the seller's listing for full details"
And your listing counterdicts that:
"This Oppo UDP-203 is new and never been used. Plastic still on front. Box has been opened. It includes the UDP-203, power cord, manual and box only. You will need a remote they are $75 on Ebay and HDMI cables. "
Tell your buyer to open a return request
and you'll refund after return.

Buyer wants me to rereimburse $50 ....
If you look at the 'Item specifics" section of any item listed as "new" (including yours) you will see eBay's definition: "New: A brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item in its original packaging (where packaging is applicable). Packaging should be the same as what is found in a retail store". Apparently this item ships with a remote, so the buyer should not have to dig into the description of your "new" item to see that it is not included.
The buyer can claim this is "not as described" and force you to take a return for which you would have to pay for the return shipping. So IMHO his request for compensation is reasonable from both his perspective and yours.

Did you check the drop down for the definition of new on the Ebay listing?
New has everything it is supposed to have.
