Is it possible to sell privately to certain usernames?

I'd like to limit a Buy Now auction to a certain buyer (probably by user name). I don't see an option to do so, but I'm hoping that I'm just missing it.

There is no option to do that, but you can simply make the listing and title it "Private listing" and then send the link directly to the buyer.

Do a listing with a "Buy in now" and add "Best Offer". Put the starting price way high to prevent others from purchasing. Once the correct buyer submits the agreed upon offer price, just accept and you are done. I do this a lot and found this to be the easiest and safest way.

I've often used a very odd title in a listing set up for a particular buyer so that it does not show up on searches. Like "bob's widgets". Then as others said - set a ridiculous price with make offer available and send a link for the listing to intended buyer.

I've had that work before.

Personally the high price, make offer thing is way too much effort.

I just create a listing with the title "custom order 12345" and send the buyer a link,  the listing won't be available in  search for a least a few hours and even then a different buyer would have to be searching for "custom order" to find it.

I've probably used this process a couple of hundred times over the past 24 years and have never had anyone other than the intended buyer make a purchase.

What I do is make the listing, price it way higher so nobody else buys it then send them the title link
