Is it possible to revise a listing with old version of variation types without recreating

Hello.   I have a number of old ebay items that had multiple variations based on card attributes and not card number.   It seems like you can't just transfer the type you have to manually add one at a time.   That is kind of pain frankly.    So I have avoided updating these.  But apparently something changed concerning international shipping and my shipping information is gone.     I would like to fix it but again in order to do this I have recreate all my variations

Has anyone been able to revise with this kind of scenario where you can leave the variations as they are and just modify something else like shipping or description or something else?

The old version isn't available anymore as far as I know.  

What is the connection between the problems with your Variation listings and the new international shipping program, EIS?

I honestly haven't had the need to change anything but quantities on any of my older variation listings.
