Is it me or does eBay have all types of privacy issues?

Should my buying and selling history be available for others to see?

I purchase sensitive medical supplies and if you click on my user name you can see when I purchased them.  Am I wrong to think that my buying history as well as my selling history should be private...in terms of what was bought and/or sold?

Never had this problem with eBay 20 years ago.

You haven't been able to see purchase history since eBay anonymized bidding several years back.

Too bad, it was a great tool to help determine when someone was scamming you.

In your feedback history, nobody but yourself can see the listing titles for items you have purchased.

However, we can track back through your Feedback Left to see that the mot recent one was for "OEM ENGINE VALVE COVER TRIM". The only way to protect your privacy is to set your entire feedback profile to Private. But then you can't list anything for sale.  This is why many users have separate IDs for buying and selling.

20 years ago you certainly did have this situation.  Buyer confidentiality has grown significantly in the past few years.  Until just a few years ago, feedback comments showed the full listing titles for all of a member's purchases as well as sales. It was even possible to do a search on a member's ID to generate a list of their active auction bids and recent purchases, even those for which feedback had not been exchanged. And bidders' full IDs were shown in every auction's bid history.

You can ask the seller to make the listing private before you purchase if you're concerned about it.

You must  have overlooked the message inside the big blue box on your feedback page @toff4l, that confirms your buying history is private.
