Listing a Barbie doll for my daughter and came across this. Think maybe they left a group out.  A pretty large group at that.

After putting in Barbie doll, what did you click to the left to get that?

I cannot seem to duplicate it.

It's not a listings search.  It's  in the "Item specifics" in the Advanced listing form.

Maybe it's a 'seller' drop down, not one a buyer can access.

It's on the listing form.  It's not about search results, it's about how a seller sets up the Item Specifics.  Aparently non-white "enthicity" is a feature.

That would make more sense as to why as a buyer I cannot see it.

Barbie dolls of the world offers ethnicity as a item specific, but sub-category of Barbie doesn't seem to be searches?

Now I am going to have to figure this out. Thanks! LOL

I suppose if someone wants a Pacific Islander Barbie they could search the item specifics?

About what I think of the item specifics in most categories.  Pretty useless.

That would make sense as well that a white doll may not be listed as one of the top dolls in that category. so you would add it in to the space below

They probably figure white Barbies aren't "ethnic"

I found the link as a buyer.

Handful in each of those categories, but when you hit not specified all the white dolls from the european countries come up.

More "inclusive" than "politically correct" unless it's "politically correct" to leave out ALL ethnicities other than White (which is a misnomer, at best, and laughable at worst...when mixed ethnicity is 90% or so of the world population).

It’s also a refinement that a buyer can pick in SOME cases.  If I search for Barbie, ethnicity doesn’t come up as a refinement.  If I search for Barbie African American 3700 come up in search and if I click on more refinements, ethnicity shows as an option.  But if i click on  the refinement African American, there are under 2300 listings found. I checked a few of those listings and the term was not used as an item specific so I don’t understand how they narrowed the search down from 3700.
