I have started trying to sell records on eBay this summer. Anyway I just acquired a large lot of vintage metal. Almost all of it is NM to sealed condition, mostly Iron Maiden. I tried doing some quick listings but I’m not getting a lot of interest. Is it better to put it all in a large lot with a higher price or break it up individually. I invested a lot in it but should still be able to make a decent profit based on individual prices I see. I think maybe I’m missing something on how to draw attention to my listings. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Metal groups are higher in demand then most others. Do not overprice and make sure you check thoroughly the going rate of each one. I would sell them individually assuming they our actually in great condition as you say. Take pictures of the record the best you can, and both front and back of the covers. Also note any ring wear or seam splits. Record collectors are picky and will only purchase the best condition records unless they are very rare.

Took a peek at the first one I saw. $154 starting bid for misfits lp at auction is too high. I will be surprised if you get a bid. The sold listings show BIN for anywhere from $50 -$110. Maybe go back and don't have such high expectations.

I took a look at a couple of your listings. When it comes to record collecting, it's important to add details about the release such as record company, provenance of the printing, identifier number, year of issue of the particular issue you're selling, if it's an first issue or a reissue, etc. You should look at websites that specialize in record collecting to see all the pertinent info you should include.

As a record collector for 40 years, I will agree you are indeed "missing something".
(a) Your listings are missing almost all the details that a record collector would need in order to identify what you are selling and decide whether your price is reasonable.
For example, no one is going to buy your pair of Metallica records - you don;t even say what country they are from!
(b) Your Metallica "Ride the Lightning" picture disc is listed in "Music Memorabilia" and not in records. So when I search metallica ride the lightning picture disc, eBay recognizes this should be a reocrd and automatically switches the category to "Records" - and your listing does not show up. eBay's search is designed to work best for items that are listed in the proper categories.
(c) IMHO most Record collectors buy individual records, not lots. A recocrd collector who covets a $100 Japanese pressing that is missing from his collection is not going to spend $750 on a half-dozen records just to get it.
