BEWARE - Ever since EBAY switch over to the system seller dashboard I noticed that I seemed to have alot of unsold/relist items. Unfortunately, I didn't give it much thought until I received my invoice for the month. I never list more than 400 items, per month and my invoices have never gone over $250.00, until now. This last invoice was $651.00 - all but $150.00 of that was insertion fees.
This made me start looking and what I found was this. Every week the Active listings and the Unsold/Relist - listings added up to more than 400 listings. I found that on the Unsold/Relist listing were items that were also on the active list.
I would just go down the list and check all my items and hit relist - not realizing that they were already listed. I did this for the whole month not realizing until now that this everytime I did that it generated insertion fees.
I contacted E-bay to report the problem and to also to ask for a credit for the unnecessary insertion fees. Ebay's response was that there is not a glitch in the program and basically they won't give me a credit back.
I relist my items on Fridays and today when I check both Active vs Unsold - I found that more than 1/2 my unsold items were still on my active list.
At this Ebay is not taking phone calls so you can only contact them by e-mail - so I did and received an e-mail back saying if I have a problem I can go to the help section and find a solution. Right - Wrong not there.
Needless to say there is no way under todays circumstances, can I pay the $651.00 invoice. I just find it really sad that given what the country is going thru, that Ebay can't make an exception to give me a credit. I'm not asking to waive the total invoice just reduce down to what I normally pay each month $250.00.
I only work part-time and selling on Ebay gave me that extra money each month to get by. Now I can't work and I won't be able to sell on E-bay. since I refuse to pay the $651.00 .
Thanks Ebay for making my life alittle more stressfull

Just a question I wondered why you only had 3 Buy it now listings and then 367 auctions? Most sellers would use mainly buy it now format, not auctions. You have to pay fee for every auction above 50 if your a casual seller.

To answer your question I don't know. I am so knew at this and still learning. Are you saying it is better for me to list my items as Buy it now vs 7 auction?

After you relist items it's a good practice to then delete them from your unsold list. The act of relisting an item does not remove it from your unsold list. This is not a glitch, it's how the system works.
Your items are better suited for the fixed price format than the auction format. When you list fixed price the listing will auto-renew every month and you will be charged a listing fee each month when it renews. You can manually end any listings that you don't want to renew.
This link is for a duplicate listing scanner tool:

You currently have 3 book listings flagged as potential duplicates.

Firstly you should have an eBay store subscription that covers at least 400 free Buy It Now listings if you don't already have one. Secondly the products your selling you are paying a fee every time to list over 50 in auction style, if you have the right store sub you get monthly free buy it nows. So you save money. Secondly fo not select any extras in the listings like borders etc that ask a fee as you list. You have currently only three buy it nows the rest of yours 367 are all in auction format. That is why your paying to many fees. Note the date you get an eBay store you will have to pay the store fee every month. I have a featured store with 1000 free listings. So I pay the store sub and any FVF from sales.
