Hello eBay Sellers community, rookie seller here. What should you do if you have items uploaded (that someone has bidded on), but the location is wrong and can't be changed? I'm worried it will be counted as a fraudulent sale and end badly.
I updated my information/personal address to my current location, but stupidly didn't notice until it was too late that my regular listings weren't fixed and are at the wrong address. (I have fixed all other listings that I could, aside from the two listings I have with bids on them).
Should I reach out to the buyers who have bidded on my items and inconveniently ask them to retract their bids so that I can correct the listings? Or is there a way that I can change the listing without having to do this?
Lol, feeling super incompetent right now! Advice is much appreciated. Thank you.

No, don't do that. You would still not be able to revise the listing, and the buyers would have a retraction on their record. Also you cannot revise the listing if you cancel the bids.
You have 6 active listings: Two auctions with no bids which show a location in NC, and 4 listings which show FL including two auctions with bids and two fixed price listings. If FL is the incorrect location, you need to go and revise the locations for the two fixed price listings.
I wouldn't worry about the location error; sellers only get in trouble if the location misrepresentation is really drastic like saying the item is in the US when they're actually overseas. If a buyer ends up overpaying for shipping, you can give them a partial refund.

Are you not having your items shipped from Florida? Where are they located and being shipped from?

I would just be rolling with what you have on the listing since you have bids. If it makes the shipping more costly for you, eat the cost. Don't ask the buyer for more money.
If it makes it less expensive for you to ship, go ahead and throw some money back at your buyers if they are paying for the shipping.
If you have Free Shipping in the listing, don't worry about anything.

Yes, currently they are located and being shipped from NC rather than FL.

I'm having the buyer pay, but it's not really that big of a deal? That makes me feel relieved, thank you!

Make sure you change the addresses in your site preferences to reflect your new address. Shipping from and return address, etc.

That's so good to know! Thank you, I'm very glad I didn't send out any messages then. I had no idea that retracting bids would go on their records.
I will be sure to fix the things I can.
I'm so glad it's not as big of a deal as I'd originally thought, Thanks a lot!! 🙂 Not worried anymore!
Also, your username is perfect. 💯
