Hey, everyone, I need some help. (Never posted before, btw, so please pardon any etiquette rules I may have broken... I'm also a little creeped out at the moment.)
I had an item of lingerie posted for sale... baby doll type sheer lacey dress with a bra top. I receive a message from a buyer asking if it has matching panties. I reply that the item does have matching panties, but go on to explain that I package those separately in a ziploc baggie since they are such an intimate item and I recognize that not everyone will want to touch a stranger's panties. I receive another message from the buyer asking if the panties have been washed. I reply that of course they are clean, and again explain my ziploc baggie procedure, and reiterate that I specifically do not mention the panties in the listing because they are a "freebie" or "bonus." I receive a reply from the potential buyer asking if they can be purchased unwashed. I don't reply, and they message me again to ask another time, to which I reply "absolutely not." And then the creep offers me more money for them. I've figured out how to block this buyer, but I feel like this is inappropriate and needs to be reported to ebay - but can't figure out how. Any suggestions? Thanks.

@Anonymous claims that CS can get involved in issues with eBay messaging so give them a call, rather than being complicit in normalizing debasing, disgusting, and inappropriate sexual harassment!
If we haven't learned by now to stop enabling this type of unacceptable behavior, what's it gonna take to get the word out!

They are out there. Probably lots of them.

Not harrassment.
Somebody with a kink. A kink that brings big bucks to some.

A sexual kink and an unwarranted harassment. It's hard to imagine anyone, much less a female, doesn't get that.

I started to post this before but I edited it out. Is there a issue with washed pre-owned panties?

Those with this sexual kinky leaning want old gruddy unwashed socks, hose, old stinky worn athletic shoes (the stinkier, the better) and unwashed undergarments, etc. It's what gets them off.
Ebay policy is that used clothing must be washed before being sold here. Many specialize in selling... items that don't quite pass that policy...
If you don't want to deal with the kink kooks, then ignore their messages. They get the message. Usually they have their favorites to deal with and stick to those sellers, but much of that stuff goes at prices they hate to have to pay, so probably trying to cultivate a new source that might be cheaper to buy from.

@siayan: I think there is. I tried to list a vintage lingerie set and I had to put used as the condition because it wasn't in the original box, etc even though I didn't know. I got an error message saying that I couldn't list used lingerie or panties. I don't know how sellers circumvent this. For the better, because it's not exactly what I would want to be known for selling.
Maybe not take pictures in the listing until someone askes if it is included. Not sure
I am not a expert in this area.

That may not be the best idea

You will want to check out this policy:
https://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/used-clothing.html
Used panties are not allowed to be sold on eBay. There are ways sellers of vintage lingerie get around this, but non vintage - doesn't matter whether you've laundered them or not, used panties aren't permitted.
Kink buyers of the unwashed variety look for listings of used lingerie and do a search for "panties" in the description, because this is how sellers of these items bypass, or attempt to bypass the eBay policy.
The potential buyer mistook you for a seller who knew this, and was offering something to his or her taste and may have thought you were negotiating for a higher price. So it wasn't likely harrassment, in my opinion. It was more a case of hearing a quacking noise and assuming there was a duck nearby.
I wouldn't recommend reporting the buyer to eBay, since it would necessitate drawing eBay's attention to the fact that you were offering used panties in your listing.

Too late now, they have been notified in this thread.
