Import Charges

A buyer from Mexico asked me about import charges on one of my items. I use the Global Shipping Program from the USA. What should I tell them? Are there import charges?

Import Charges

Any import charges (Duties and Taxes) for GSP items can be seen by the Buyer once they add the item to their cart and proceed to the checkout screen.

 

Based on the item category, value and di minimus for the country, once the Buyer confirms their delivery address in checkout, the import charges are added along with the item cost and any domestic shipping charges for flat or calculated shipping. 

 

Upon reviewing your listings, you are using eISD (eBay international standard delivery) not GSP. This is a DDU program with import charges and VAT due at the time of delivery. GSP is a DDP program where the Buyer pays import charges at the time of checkout. Using eISD, your Buyer will pay the item cost and the domestic shipping costs at the time of checkout. Import charges will be collected by the in-country postal service or international final mile carrier at the time of delivery.
