Let’s have a discussion - without complaining and negativity - what is one thing you would like to see changed about the Ebay platform and why? What would the change do to help your business grow? Don forget the last part - the why is everything.
I’ll start - I would have Ebay require onboarding for new members when they want to sell items. I believe this would help with a lot of the new seller painpoints and bring a positive light to Ebay in general. It helps my business because it builds trust in the community - most trust equals more sales for myself and everyone else. I would also love to see Ebay explain their why during seller updates. I get that I need to require 30 day free shipping for top rated discounts but WHY is that going to help my business. Some facts would decrease the anxiety for most people.

If I could change one thing then I'd ask e bay to stop fooling around and stop making changes . Seems as soon as we learn and get used to one way ,, they change it again . Leave well enough alone and let us just conduct business lessening the anxiety IMO Tulips

Anyone whose been here any length of time knows that site glitches are a daily occurrence now, bugs take forever to get fixed, if they ever do get fixed and rarely get acknowledged publicly (Duplicate Listing Bug, for instance). I’d like to see a whole lot less “spin” and a lot more energy on quashing bugs before they affect my listings and my sales. I’d like to see a PUBLIC facing dedicated bug reporting & tracking tool like Bugzilla used so we know EXACTLY where we stand on the many bugs & glitches introduced into the site by programmers.
I agree with you ... have expereinced the Duplicate listing bug as well as the relisting of Sold items bug and I think just last week, with the new and improved (ahem) label printing format experienced a Duplicate Label printing bug. One Buyer got two packages, one of which was for someone else. Since I did NOT use any Reprint feature but did switch from the new and improved (ahem) page to the classic page I suspect the system printed two labels instead of the next one it was supposed to print.

@statesplace wrote:Maybe this is a great opportunity to reach out to the seller and give them some tips on cleaning their doll? If we all work together to improve the quality of listings by building community we can gain a lot of trust with our buyers. If you see a listing that really needs improvement I would just send them a DM with some tips in a very nice way 🙂 I know when I’ve gotten kind messages with suggestions from other eBay sellers in the past it’s always been a positive experience.
You should try that and get back to us.
Been there, done that. Never again. So many angry responses.

I would make eBay as a company more concerned with the site and it's workings that it's stock price.
eBay created the beast when they tryed to inflate the number of listings on the site. Now we are clogged with garbage listings.
Force a minimum sell through rate. Get rid of the sellers with 8,000 listings and 12 sales in the last month. Get rid of the drop shippers that make 1 item have 3,000 listings for that item, all shipping from the exact same place.
Force an expiration date on all listings. Any listing more than 6 months old gets pulled, the pics get pbanned and the whole thing is deleted so that the seller cannot cut and paste. If you need something to list that long, write new text and take new photos. but stop clogging the listings.
I clicked on something the other day, and this has happened before, it shows one sold in 2011! This has been listed without a single sale since 2011? 7 years? We do not need these listings.
