....is the seller still covered by paypal because the paypal transaction says "SELLER PROTECTION/ELIGIBLE.
When I click eligible in the paypal transaction it says SELLER PROTECTED.
Like someone else who posted that ebay sided with, automatically, a buyer that was refunded for non receipt..... I also shipped to an APO-AE address, listed as (USA ONLY),. Paid FEB 27, shipped (Feb 28/2020) an item, (LISTED USA ONLY) $360, that went to an APO- AE address, that flew off the tracking map when it reached CHICAGO, IL INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION CENTER. On MARCH 5.
I cannot retrieve the buyers email as indicated in paypal to look in my ebay items sold list because it's an old transaction that also disappeared, thus cannot email the buyer and ask if they have or have not received their item.
My question is.. since the other person lost and had to refund, even though the item still shows "IN USPS NETWORK/TRANSIT TO NEXT DESTINATION"... will paypal cover this sale that never showed, under the paypal seller protection, which indicates "ELIGIBLE".
I don't mind refunding the monies, but I would at least like to get the item back? OR not have to refund if "this transaction is eligible for seller protection", in the paypal transaction.
Note that I ship to USA ONLY. ALL OTHER COUNTRIES EXCLUDED. Ebay indiated EXPIDITED PRIORITY MAIL GUARANTEED BY MARCH 5th. (It did arrive in Chicago MARCH 5) so I believe that this item was DELIVERED, though USPS says IN TRANSIT to NEXT DESTINATION. Almost 2 months ago. So.....
Thanks for any insight. THIS BUYER HAS YET TO FILE A CLAIM Though feel like it may be coming soon. Or am I off the hook?

You are always able to email your buyer just use the contact buyer link, it will not give there email address but it will use ebays message system. Since the buyer has not filed a claim in such a long time it may have been delivered. I have sold stuff the mail person just did not scan the item on delivery but was delivered.

If item does not arrive in 2 months and buyer files and ebay refunds automatically is the seller
PayPal seller protection only applies to PayPal cases.
I do not believe that it will reverse the outcome of an eBay case.

My buyer has yet to file a non-receipt.
Your buyer may well be honest and patient.

APO/FPO/DPO addresses ARE US addresses. They are addresses of military and diplomatic personnel overseas. They are just as much a US address as your address is.
If you want to ship to the States only, you have to block these addresses and territories.
Have you actually heard from the buyer? Not all packages will get delivery scans. When my son was deployed, his packages didn't get delivery scans. They were dropped in bundles by helicopter onto his ship.

File a claim with USPS. As proof of value use a screen shot of a similar item from sold listings. You can get back at least $50 that way.
