Posted this on the Canadian board by mistake... I meant to post it here.
Short version, I had an auction of an item of nominal value, two buyers bid it up to the moon, the winner paid (five times what the thing was worth). Shipped. Tracking shows delivered June 30.
On July 6 buyer files INR. eBay won't close it in my favour until July 12. I uploaded the tracking to the case as I've read here that I'm supposed to do.
In the past, when I uploaded tracking (which happened before the delivery scan), when the delivery happened the case closed immediately in my favour. Why can't they close a case for an INR on July 6 on something delivered on June 30?

I'm very anxious waiting for things... I need to busy myself with doing listings until Tuesday when this will be resolved. (I got lots of stuff ready to list recently... but not motivated to sit at the computer).

I even tried calling, which I absolutely HATE to do & they wouldn't do it sooner. You're not imagining things though, they used to do it right away if you called after uploading the tracking. I know it's hard to wait over the weekend especially!

It took 30 days for Ebay to close out a INR claim on my wife's account recently... in her favor but it wasn't 5 - 6 days for sure!

You should have no problem winning the case with eBay. The only problem you may have is if the buyer decides to request a chargeback with their credit card company. [That happened to another seller in a similar situation recently. eBay had no way to prevent the refund ... and there was a $20 additional service charge from the CC company. 😖]
It did occur to me that I'd later be faced with a SNAD or CC Chargeback. Not much I'll be able to do. My partner would tell me risking a $20 charge to fight it is worth it, it wasn't a small purchase.

I did speak to them yesterday. I don't want a closed without resolution case, that's the kiss of death. I was told there's nothing I can do but wait until Tuesday.

If I provided more info on the transaction, it would be obvious this was buyer's remorse.
Buyers Remorse is usually disguised as a Not as Described claim in the hopes that the seller will get stuck with the return costs. An Item Not Received dispute is simply over whether the thing actually arrived.

EBay was ill prepared to address the chargeback situation under MP, something that PayPal did automatically behind the scenes often without seller involvement. It took them about 3 years to finally put some seller protection in place for chargebacks. You should read through the following since the policy is less than 100% solid and has some quirks. However if the buyer looses the INR case with eBay then they will, or should, loose a INR case with the CC company. If the buyer files a SNAD chargeback the fact that they have already lost an IINR case with eBay may be a bit different because it is not the exact same type of case they filed with eBay.
