What are sellers doing in order to combat inflation? Are they lowering their prices on what they are selling if they can? Or are they raising their prices to combat rising prices on other goods and services? Or are they closing their doors?

If you still want to have any profit on your sales you need to raise prices

INFLATION. Does a Seller lower their prices or raise their prices during inflation times?
"The False Dilemma Fallacy
This common fallacy misleads by presenting complex issues in terms of two inherently opposed sides. Instead of acknowledging that most (if not all) issues can be thought of on a spectrum of possibilities and stances, the false dilemma fallacy asserts that there are only two mutually exclusive outcomes."
Inflation may influence a seller's pricing decisions, but because inflation is not the only issue confronting sellers. So it may not be the sole reason for each of that seller's many pricing decisions about many products.
I suspect that many sellers will continue to raise some prices, lower some prices, and keep some prices the same just like they always have.

@bryo_3145 It depends on what one is selling ... if selling online is all one does then they need to be real savvy with their cost of goods and resale price structure so they maintain a viable margin. If they can't do that then they need to consider other cash streams.
I am sure some categories are more affected during a recession then others ...

There are so many factors involved in pricing your item(s).
It depends on the item, your cost, how much profit you want to make,
how many you sell, how often you sell them, how many you have to sell,
what others are selling for, your expenses, etc.

We used to buy one of the items we sell for $30. Three months later, we are paying $50. Plus, we have to buy twice as many at one time as we used to to get that price, tying up more capital. Shipping on that item has gone up $10 on average, it ships "free".
No business can eat that kind of price increase & survive.
Our selling price went from $69 to $100.
We are seeing lots of price increases like this, inflation is much worse than we are being lead to believe. That is if we are even able to get the items. We just had an order come in 1 year after the order was placed.
