I just made a sale but I want to cancel it because I'm getting a lot more charged for shipping than what the buyer paid. Last month, a buyer from a neighbor USA state did with just 6 USD, and for this month sale the buyer just paid 5 USD to ship from South USA up to Canada... But it's asking me for 25 USD to print the label and I didn't have "Free Shipping" as an option selected.
So I want to cancel the order but Ebay asks me to refund the money... Thing is, I sold an item for 50 USD, buyer paid 55.02, I got 45.45 but then ISR (Mexican taxes) took 20% (instead of 1% idk why) leaving me with 36.83, and Ebay asks me to refund those 45.45 USD, which I only have 36.83 on my Ebay account which are retained, and the other 8.62 are asked for me to pay it with my wallet... If I do, will I get those 8.62 USD back later on from Ebay? To my Payoneer account, my defined debit/credit card or where? Or they will do nothing and I'll have to go look with the SAT to get that money back.

@robsand-8566 You ship the item and take the loss for your error... use calculated shipping from here on out, and/or enter accurate weight and dimensions on your listing

Hello,
Am in the UK - it might be different in US but think a refund just means the buyer gets back their money, even what ebay took as their percentage - you want have to worry about this. You wont get paid, but you still have the item and no-one should be out of pocket

@florencefinley , your information is incorrect. if the @robsand-8566 cancels the transaction and refuses to follow through you their obligation because of their own error in calculating costs, the OP will be charged the FVF and worse, the defect placed on their account can prevent further use of their account. (and possibly cause suspension).
The buyer WILL be made whole.
Use this learning experience as an inexpensive cost of an education. It's your own error and you should do the right thing.

Am sorry if have misunderstood what is happening and probably different in US from UK. This is a learning experience and next time you will understand whats going on better and perhaps wise to sell within local area - the shipping will be less expensive and there will be no exchange rates to add to it. I dont understand the abbreviations used and seems a good idea to check these sort of issues out. Wish you all well
