Yes, that is a scam. If they don't pay on the fourth day, eBay will cancel and give the buyer an unpaid item strike.

I told them I will let them know today
Today, you'll let them know through the eBay messaging system that you'll cancel the order if the buyer hasn't paid you for (ONLY) your cookies after 4 days. Then, on Day 5, you'll cancel the order, citing 'Buyer didn't pay'.
This is the best way for all us sellers to get rid of these deadbeats. Good luck to you.

That is good. What you have there is the typical "text me" scammer. The closest you will get to any money is a FAKE notice that you have been paid. These people work the site 24/7/365 and usually prefer newbie seller IDs in hopes that you will fall for the scam. When one ID gets canned by eBay, they just sign up for another one. Same with their "cousins" the "change of address scammers".
If you "accepted" an offer, you can use the "report this buyer" feature.
So glad you came here to check first. Many are not so lucky!!!!

You were smart to pick up on that. You’ve been given good advice. No real U.S. Marine would identify as a USA marine.
