Just saw the BULQ splash page on an eBay message, I assume this feature is for Catalog type products and not suited for Collectibles and used items ...

Did you read up on what BULQ is? It's a liquidation company that buys out retail stores' inventory, packages it up, and sells it to eBay buyers, mainly for resale purposes.
So no, it would have nothing to do with collectibles and/or used items . . .

@pburn No,did not read up on it nor click the link, my fear is that by clicking an eBay link my account defaults to some new thing I don't want LOL. Just saw the splash page and decided to ask about it first ...

I don't understand why eBay is promoting this one seller unless they were paid to do so. It looks like gambling to me. They can't even spread the items out of the box so you can see what you're getting. How do they know what they are selling? There's no reference for them in case of a return....

Plus everybody will then be selling the same thing! Sounds stupid to me!

There was also an announcement about it on the Announcements board six months ago:
It included an explanatory link:

BULQ and eBay have an "exclusive partnership," so, yes, eBay is no doubt getting some kind of remuneration from BULQ.
There have been threads posted about BULQ in the past. They weren't too complimentary.

BULQ deals in liquidated stock, returns, remainders, rejects, hurts, overstock and deadstock, and they sell it by the bag, box, or pallet. Just about the last stuff in the world I'd want to mess with.

Oh Mr Lincoln here was a good post about it from vintage back in Nov

The thing with the BULQ/eBay partnership is that the manifest can be imported into listings here. I've looked over a number of the manifests (as well as having investigated BULQ a couple of years ago) and most of the clothing at least is stuff that would be a very hard sell here - common, over-represented brands, odd sizes and the like. I've purchased wholesale a couple of times - once was a complete bomb but the other times I've still found it not really worth it, like the leftover leftovers, couple of bucks profit on each item. Others have had pretty good deals, though - it's basically the luck of the draw.

Yes, good point about the Mentor situation ... I suppose one approach is to let them know they will be competing with whoever saw the information cross their screen.
