I stopped being a seller on ebay, as I don't like them taking away PayPal (that was my cashbox/till, and I won't give them access to my bank account). And now they are sending me porn emails - to my personal email, not my ebay message: "Diamond Butt Toys **bleep** Insert..." and "Nude Bathing Beauties..." and other such items that I have never looked at, searched for, and as a Christian person, am very offended by.
Is this their idea of payback punishment for discontinuing being a seller?

I doubt it as people stop selling all the time and return, how would eBay know you stopped?
Maybe someone was able to access your account on a public computer and view such items?
Not saying anyone you know would

ummmm... it sounds like the system is sending recommendations based on viewing history...😱... Clearing your cache and cookies should stop that from happening if that is the case.

You can "hover" over the "sender" and see who the sent you the email. Does the "sender" actually say eBay?

Very unlikely this is ebays doing: ( though does have a history of stalking a user on the internet and in real life)>
Have you made some one mad at you besides ebay?????
Such could be signing you up for sites as such....
I would advise to follow advice given.

ebay doesn't need you to look at such things on their site to send you email marketing of listings, they can do this via computers view history, just like any other site you visit shows you ads based off your viewing history. Now, can be YOU didn't visit any such sites or content, but if others have access to your computer or log in information's they could have, on ebay or other wise, OR they don't even need to access your computer, but if they have your login info for ebay, or browser google, chrome, firefox etc... all they have to do is log in with your name/password. In this case also good idea to run antivirus like Norton's on your system and see if anything goes into the catch, simple virus program can do this and run without causing any weird havoc on your system so you'll never know it's even there. Just some possibilities to look at, not placing any blame on OP.

There are millions of sellers on eBay. Why in the world would eBay target you specifically? How does eBay know that this offends you, perhaps it would tantalize you? So many questions now....

eBay would never ever do this. Delete the emails and do not open them.

Ahh but it has been done in the name of eBay by eBay employees....
Not that it is, in this case....

How exactly are you making the connection between eBay and your personal email address? What is it that gives you the idea that eBay would be sending you solicitations for adult items that in fact they are no longer selling anyway? eBay discontinued the adult selling areas last month.

Also, under Communications Preferences in your Account, make sure no boxes have been checked under Marketing Communications. And, periodically clear your Recently Viewed Items list.

You or someone in your household viewed some naughty stuff while logged into your eBay account.
If it wasn't you, I guess try to act surprised if your wife hands you a tiny box filled with something that looks like jewelry.
