Did you mean:

I shipped the wrong and expensive item, how do I get it back.

I sold a $400 item and a $1300 item the same day. I mixed up the shipping labels and sent the wrong items to both buyers.

I only found out when the buyer who purchased the $1300 item contacted me that he received the wrong item. He returned the item and I refunded him BUT the buyer who paid $400 and received the $1300 item is not responding to my messages 😞

I know its my fault but is there anything  I can do to recover that item?

thanks

I accidentally did the same thing several years ago and here's what I've been doing ever since: package, print the shipping label and affix it to the parcel "one at a time" for each piece. You can also write the last name of the buyer on the top of the parcel where the shipping label goes to "visually verify" you're attaching the correct shipping label (the shipping label will then cover up the hand-written buyer's name). Your computer workstation and shipment packing table should be organized and in close proximity. The more time between packing the item and affixing the shipping label for multiple items the more likelihood of a mix-up. If you don't own a computer printer and print the shipping label somewhere else (like your local library, place of employment or office supply store) it's imperative to write the buyer's name on the parcel before shipment. Live and learn!
