I selected for authentication verification, but shipping label goes straight to buyer?

Sold a rather expensive card (+$300), and my listing even advertises to have authentication guaranteed. However, the shipping label is going straight to the buyer. If it is important, the card is not graded. I mostly want to know if I should ship straight to the buyer's address or should I contact eBay to verify? Would the buyer have a case for a return if the listing says authentication, but the card does not get one?

Where are you seeing the buyer's address? eBay is supposed to provide you with the address of the authentication center.

That sale definitely had the Authenticity Guarantee badge and checkmark. I would not send it directly to the buyer, I have no personal experience but I can envision "unfavourable issues" if you did.

The buyer's address is all I see on the shipping label. I've check my messages, and other potential addresses, but nothing is pointing towards an authenntication center.

We recently had this same issue with a diamond tennis bracelet sale, which we found out was due to the shipping info the buyer provided. If there's a PO Box address, or incomplete name or address then the system will kick it out of authenticity and instruct you ship directly to the buyer.

Our listing clearly showed the blue check mark with Authenticity Guarantee, but the buyer had only provided  first initials for both her first and last name. So eBay instructed us to ship directly to the buyer and not to GIA as we normally do.

We advised our buyer of the situation and offered to either ship directly to her, or cancel and refund. She wanted the bracelet to be Authenticated, so we cancelled and refunded the order. Then she re-purchased after providing eBay with her full first and last name on the payment/order. This fixed the issue and her second order was shipped to GIA for authentication.

Hope this helps.
