Hi,
I just started to sell on ebay about a month and a half ago. I have developed a good description template and I have written my Payments, Shipping, Returns & Contact us policies. Except for the Returns policy all other policies I have written are pretty straight forward and small. The returns policy has some explaining in it. The returns policy was written after reading the guidelines that ebay has provided as follows.
https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/member-behavior-policies/condition-returned-items-policy?id=4763
https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/returning-item?id=4041#refunds
https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/managing-returns-refunds/handle-return-request-seller?id=4115
I have a funny feeling that my returns policy is too long and it'll scare the customers away. But I also thinks it is very detailed, explaining to the customers everything about returns.
If a moderator or someone who has very good experience about ebay policies could look into one of my listings and instruct me about the areas I need to change and add or improve, I would be very thankful and appreciate it a lot.
Thanks much in advance

Neither a moderator or specialize in e-bay policies. A seller since 2004.
Your template is pretty amazing and if those are your pix and not stock pix, they look good. Handling time in excess of 16 days (realize you are outside the US, but if I bought today, it says Delivery all the way to July?)
Only looked at your returns tab. US buyers can return an item, up to 30 days for any reason. You do not have to accept returns, but e-Bay will allow the return, especially if there is an issue with the item, etc. I do not "state" a return policy in my listings - used to, but now, I just check the box that says Free 30 day returns. Anything else is pretty much futile.
Have to admit, I would buy that gaming mouse you have listed - especially at $20 US - until I realized it would not arrive for potentially 8-9 weeks from the order date. Also, your policy says to not ship it back to the address it was mailed from?
Good luck to you as a new-er Seller to e-bay. Hope it works out for you.

Dump 90% of it! except keep the Product Description area which is fine
As far as all the rest......
VERY few will ever scroll that far down and those that do won't expand to see the actual wording.
Some parts of your returns policy is in conflict with the eBay policy so it's pointless and not enforceable.
Everything the buyer really needs to know is at the top of the listing or on the shipping & payments tab.

I agree - way too much info that no buyer will read any way
These 3 lines in your return policy are concise and straight to the point, and in line with eBay policy for returns so I would take out the rest

OP is a drop shipper from Sri Lanka, they do have the best presentation I've ever seen but that is not going to prevent the usual issues that will likely not end well.

Also just a little confused - your account was originally reg'd US, now reg'd Sri Lanka, items out of China - are you drop shipping? and how will you be paid as I don't think Paypal is set up for incoming in your country.
Just be sure to check everything is in place, as you don't want to sell an item and not be able to receive payment for it

Didn't see to click it until your post. A lot of on and on....

Hi Katzrul15,
Thanks for the quick answer. My Shipping policy and ebay's Shipping and payments tab clearly mentions that handling time is 5 days only. As for the shipping time, I will look into other shipping methods that shows less time.
Thanks you much for the help.

I love that return policy. Do not send the package back to the address it came from. LOL
