I always have to manually change everything back, but yet the system somehow automatically changes it to whatever the hell it wants. I firmly have everything with free shipping, yet after a day or two from listing the item/s, ebay changes it to charging shipping. and what ticks me off even more is that they enable best offers when I don't want it to! Is there any way I can stop the system from doing this?? is there some option in our settings I can tick and BAM this issue will stop????????

One way to stop the “auto enrolling” is on the Advanced Listing tool, there is a check box, but you still have to manually check it each time you list or revise a listing. Also I found that when i tried to revise via my mobile phone or my ipad, Best Offer was automatically added to my listings. So i had to use my computer only to list or revise.
I read on the boards that eBay was putting Best Offer on listings that they felt the price was too high, and that these listings had no way to remove BO. I heard sellers were setting their auto-decline functions in these cases to decline every offer by setting the dollar amount at or near the asking price.

I haven't had the problem with the shipping, but have had the BO added onto some of my listings. It's true that eBay has claimed that they are adding this items they think are priced too high, but that's a lie, or at least misguided.
My items are always in the lowest 10% of prices for the exact item (if there is more than one), if not the lowest. So why add BO to them? Part of the problem is that they are not going by the exact item, they are going by similar and including knock-offs from China. I have been able to remove the BO manually though I have read a few people who coudln't get it to go away. It's still annoying to have to patrol my listings to make sure they stay the way I want them.
