I'm not sure whether I'm being scammed or this is only a guest name.

I'm selling my Xbox One S to a buyer named ki.m.22.kid.wel.l19.8.6. I've seen names like this before and would like to know if this is a name given to guests who don't have accounts by the website.

IME guest IDs are usually random letters and numbers

There is an excellent chance you will be.

Please provide more details of the transaction...it does not show in your sold history.

Scammers will also be salivating at the sight of your $2k item.

Never send anything unless you see a CLEARED  payment in your Paypal account.

You should be able to see more about your customer by clicking on his name. (Joining date, location, etc.)

If you are really concerned you can cancel the sale, and accept a Defect for that.

However, you can't do that often (as in, more than once) without being shut down as a seller.

What exactly do you mean by "cleared"? If the OP is subject to the 21 day hold the transaction will show in Paypal but the money won't be added to their balance?

It will be added to their balance but it will also show an amount as "pending"

Whatever that user ID is, it is apparently not exactly what you typed. In any event, you're not supposed to be posting IDs here.

All that aside, your listing is an absolute scammer magnet. You will need to be extremely careful that you have actually been paid (by logging into your PayPal account and verifying that your payment is showing in your balance, and that it's not simply an uncleared eCheck), and even once you're past that stage, there's nothing to stop the buyer from claiming an empty box, or shipping damage, and returning something else to you for a refund, or nothing at all. You would really be better off selling that locally for cash.

If you're determined to sell that here, at least list it as a BuyItNow only, with no Make Offer option and with the Immediate Payment Required option set. (See the full listing form to find that checkbox for that.) That way no one can yank your item off the market without actually paying you for it first. That will not guard against shipping scams, though, only payment scams. Good luck.
