My $200 item sold earlier today, buyer soon after requested to cancel and I followed up as per eBay and cancelled with refund. After I relisted the item they bought it again with another account and proceeded to request a cancellation again after less than an hour. I haven’t canceled the sale this second time, I need guidance. I’m afraid they might already have scammed me out of the first $200 sale and don’t know if I will have to pay out of pocket. It would be messed up if this happens twice being $400. What to do? All this happened today.

Biggest issue is has the second buyer paid??
If not I would leave the ball in the buyer's court.
Don't cancel, let them sweat for a while, if the buyer doesn't pay open a case for NPB and they will get a strike.
If they have paid - cancel sale, refund and put both on your BBL and report both to eBay

It shows paid. The last purchase also showed paid.

Part of the problem I see is that nowhere in your listing do you include part numbers, serial numbers, anything of that sort... There are stickers on that $200 Camaro Touch Screen, they have numbers on them, you should use those... Also you should use the vehicle fitment section, if you know which year(s) makes and models it fits (just saying Camaro, they've been making Camaros for who knows how long...)
That will most likely slow down if not completely eliminate the cancellation requests...
These buyers don't realize they're buying the wrong unit, the title could include at least an OEM part number.

@foparmillennial This isn't a scam because you aren't out any money. You wrote that you canceled the first transaction so buyer was refunded and you were then refunded your FVF's. All you are out is the 30 cent transaction fee.
You should also cancel the second purchase as this buyer either is unsure what they need or playing games. However you aren't out any money if you cancel the second transaction, except for another 30 cents. Perhaps you should wait a few weeks before you list this item a third time, in case this person is playing games with you. They will tire eventually. Best of luck to you....

My biggest concern is that if ebay gets scammed it will pass me the bill.

Thanks, I already got scammed once out of a $180 item in a different situation. Sad part was that time I called customer service and they instructed me to ship an item that I think was paid with an e-check. Some how it had showed paid-ship now and then it changed to pending but they told me to ship it anyway. Should’ve came here.

WAIT -- Deep Breath, OK?
Same buyer? For REAL? If so, and either way, why are you accepting cancellations/refunds so easily, or so it seems, thus making it hard on yourself? We all understand the need to cancel, and sometimes "stuff" happens to justify a request (not an entitlement, but a request) for same BEFORE shipping, but a request from the "same" buyer, twice? NOT a "pocket dial" error, but a "game"? Either way, you're not out anything really insofar as eBay in turn cancels everything, other than perhaps maybe a few cents for listing fees, and free in turn to relist and sell as you please -- but maybe, if this buyer as you say is doing this (let's call it what it is, if so, stalking?!), perhaps report same to eBay, if so, and put that buyer on your "block" list (if true, and no reason to doubt, for sure, bizarre behavior, unless of course crazy or a competitor maybe?), and/or wait a tad, then feel free as you should to relist and sell again, as you please. (Happy Selling!),

Cool, thanks.
