Hoping someone can help me understand this. I list tiny doll clothes and each fits into
a special small envelope for cheapest ship possible. I even absorb the unfair "fee" ebay
charges for shipping. I am always honest and fair. when i list I use buy it now with immediate
payment required. Only one set fits in the envelopes. So how is a buyer able to tie up my items
by "buying it now" then requesting combined shipping invoice. I thought the "immediate payment
required would eliminate this. I did an exception this time to the buyer who is tieing items up and
absorbing the cost of shipping on one item to give her fre shipping on it (she wants 2 items) so I
am loosing right there. Then of course she has not rsponded yet and items tied up. I will give her
some time but how is she able to do this on buy it now items with ummediate payment required??
Also if happens in future and I have in my auction "I do not combine shipping" how would I cancel
it and put it back on auction. I only list a few items at a time to buy medication and tying items up
delays me getting meds. I have special envelopes for each item and lowest ship is 2.70 with USPS
and I absorbe the "fee" Thanks for any advice and help you can offer.

Roll the shipping price into the item price and ship using "free" shipping.

Your listings do not have "Immediate payment required." I checked your current active listing and your most recent completed listing. Perhaps the eBay gremlins un-checked it.

I thought eBay now forced IPR on any fixed price listings under $1000, whether or not the seller had chosen it. Is that still in effect, or did that change back?

You can cancel the transaction

Buyers are not required to pay immediately if they request an invoice for combined shipping. That does end the listing and they have purchased the items, but not paid for them yet.

That policy is either being enforced very selectively, or being implemented extreeeemely slowly.

Free Shipping is not free.
It is AdSpeak for "my cost of shipping, including the special tiny envelopes, is included in the asking price."
You never pay for shipping or packaging.
The buyer pays for shipping and packaging.
You do choose the service you offer.
You are not required to offer combined shipping, but it would be a mistake not to combine and discount shipping for a multiple sale.
Which is cheaper?
A $7.99 item with $2.70 shipping?
A $10.69 item with Free Shipping?

"How would free shipping work if you don't know where the potential buyer is located?"
You add the zone 8 shipping cost to the price of the item.
