I just received a 'new' message that I received over 2 months ago

I had a notification that there was a new message. It said sent today. I clicked on it, and it was an old message that someone sent me a few months ago asking if I'd take a lower price for an item.

The reason I know that it was an old message is because I did accept the lower price, and she bought that item. OVER 2 MONTHS AGO.

They are obviously still working on the code for all the recent updates. Those complaining about glitches causing problems with their listings/ sales/ views might not be all that far off.

Did you double-check the listing in question is no longer available for sale and there's no duplicate that perhaps the buyer sent a new message because they wanted to buy another?

Check just to make sure.

Yes, that's the first thing I did.

I searched for the item using the listing title. When nothing came up, I went back to the message and clicked on the item from there, and it takes me to the page saying this item sold and I received payment on September 17.

We had the same thing happen. Just one random old message and it hasn`t happened again.

LOL, @meme6253 , I did receive the message a couple of months ago. That's how I remembered it.

The ebay system is just glitching and re-sending old messages.

And doing who-knows-what else.

I received 20 of them just yesterday, whenever I log on I usually have a message or twp waiting, to see the figure 20 came as a surprise, all old and came back to life all by themselves, nothing since.

My notifications kept saying I had messages even though I had none, and then suddenly one day I got some from Jan and one from March.
