This is the first time that I listed something and it sold in an hour or two. Not a big ticket item just the opposite, but one of my favorite reads. It just made me happy and I thought I could share it with you all since maybe you'd understand.
Thank you for listening.
Pretty dreams.

Was it the book about Grandma Gatewood? One of our most incredible and unsung heroes!
Great sale, and I'm glad you were able to spread the word!

That's always such a nice feeling! Then again if you're a pessimist like someone I, ahem, know, you immediately start questioning yourself that you didn't charge enough for it 😄

Thanks for sharing, I really enjoy stories like this.
Allow me please to pile on and share my sole two similar experiences (in 25 years on this platform).
The first time: a porcelain butter dish from the UK. The top had a small chip but the bottom was like new. Buyer wrote to me to tell me that she had the identical butter dish, with a perfect top but a chipped bottom. A match made in heaven and the dish sold in about 5 minutes, likely because I put "chipped top" in the title.
More recently, a pair of hand crafted bookends... the artist is well known and her work is in great demand, and as far as I could tell, I had the only full set on eBay (with original tags to boot). I paid next to nothing for them and am too embarrassed to share the sales price, but they too sold in about 15 minutes. I was so worried about getting them to the buyer undamaged that I shipped each one in its own 12x12x12" cardboard box.
I was so excited over this sale that I went out and had a hand made wood fired pizza, against my doctor's orders.
PS: Just read about Grandma Gatewood. What a phenomenal woman... I will keep her image in my mind's eye when I am exhausted after hiking a few miles at a local nature preserve. 😁 I learn a lot from these forums.
I hope that this is okay to share here.

Grandma Gatewood is like the patron saint of endurance.
I think my fastest sale was a pair of JNCO Slacker jeans which sold in just under five minutes - I had gone back to double check my listing and was confused as to why I couldn't find it lol.
