I cannot find my listings when I search for them?

I listed numerous French stamps - commemoratives and semipostals issued  from 1951 to 1960.  When I searched for them, I cannot find them! The Ebay category I used is:  stamps>worlwide>collection lots.  Can you pls comment.

I cannot find my listings when I search for them?

I'm guessing that the above is the correct reason.

Perhaps but I did check quite a few of their listings for France stamps and they had worldwide shipping. I think the problem is more likely the category as I mentioned earlier. Or, it's a combination of both.

try to copy one of your listings and paste in the Ebay (main page) search bar at the top of the page .

You might try logging out and then searching.  Why would ebay show you YOUR items when you search for something?  You already own them and they want you to buy things.  Smiley Wink

eBay does NOT hide a seller's own listings from the seller in search. I have never not been able to see all of my own items in search while logged in (either in searches for all my own items or in searches by keyword).

This is a buyer location search visibility issue, but I don't think for the reason NP stated (I see 208 listings for OP from US, or anywhere else - looks like OP ships everywhere with no exclusions, and I see no revisions o the listings to indicate that changed in the last 18 hours when y'all posted).

This may be an (impossible to kill?) IP based eBay bug where eBay sellers in Asia can't see their listings - which I thought was eradicated due to lack of non-India Asian seller complaints lately. (India seller visibility issues have to do with eBay weirdness shutting down eBay.in and associated changes I think)

I see 208 listings for OP looking normally from California, same number if I change my location to Philippines in search, and same when I used a transparent proxy in Singapore (a trans proxy might not have actually registered as geo-located in Asia to eBay and I couldn't find any anon or elites that worked for testing)

So not sure what is going on, except that it isn't eBay hiding sellers listings from seller because they are his own.

@stampicks

When I search for ‘stamps France semi postal’ eBay automatically changes the search category to Europe - France & colonies.. they are probably doing the same when you search so you won’t see the listings in stamps worldwide.  You might want to change the category of your listings.

off topic.. Did you know that some of your Swiss stamps listed on May 9 and other Swiss stamps listed may 10-13 have shipping only to the US?

This is what I saw, that was the basis for my response above:

However, as @pjcdn2005  observed (due to being more thorough than I), some of the OP's listings are US-only and others are worldwide.  The idea of this being due to eBay's choice of a subcategory being different from the seller's own search makes sense. It would have been helpful if the seller had explained exactly what he was doing when he did his search for his own items.

You are correct - I didn't check more than a couple before, and those had worldwide shipping. OP should have been able to see those though, however many there are out of the 208, but indicated seeing zero.

Wonder if that is a miscommunication, and OP didn't look at all their listings in search, but was searching for individual listings, and somehow only tried the ones with US only shipping option (just as I only tried the worldwide ones)?

tks.  I tried.  Did not get the item, but close to it and they were all from me.  I still do not know why I did not get any in previous searches?

When I went thru the listing details, I found some (May 8,2019) entries only for the USA (not right) but mostly World wide.  I will continue to review. Tks.
