It may seem ridiculous, but the dishonesty just keeps getting worse everyday. To help me avoid problems I want to block eBay members with 98% or less rating. But I can't find an option to do this. Is there no option?
It seems unfair to Not have a choice of who you do business with. I think on a federal level companies are granted that choice. Selling on eBay is like walking through a mine field packed with thorn bushes.

You realize buyers don’t receive any negative feedback right?

You are correct... No, that is not one of the 'blanket blocks' that a seller can choose.

There is no way to block a bidder based on their feedback percentage.
As noted in the other post, it is not possible for sellers to leave negative or neutral ratings for buyers. Since 2008. So if a member has less than 100%, that means that they got a neg due to selling, not buying.
In your site preferences, you can block a bidder who has gotten two or more nonpayment strikes in the past year.

You must mean you want to block sellers who have a 98% or less feedback rating? You'll have to do that on an individual basis by excluding those sellers in the Advanced search function on the marketing platform.

Just think if stores blocked people from entering if anyone came in to return an item. No, you cannot block people willy-nilly. What you can do is block people from purchasing from you who have had 2 or more unpaid items.

That's not entirely true. I have 0% because I took a break from selling and then when I came back and sold something I sold to a buyer who never gives feedback so I'm still at 0%. Feedback and that percentage is becoming a useless tool ... I wish eBay would just get rid of it.

She is referring to Buyers. Not Sellers.

Sheesh, fine: If a member has a feedback rating that's more than zero but less than 100%, that means that they got a neg due to selling, not buying.

of course I know that, so what? Sellers are buyers and buyers are sellers. I myself buy AND sell items on eBay. You miss-read my post! I said "eBay members with 98% or less rating." Not buyers!

No, I meant eBay members with 98% or less rating. Which is exactly what I said

Your title says “buyers”.
In any case, no, it cannot and has never been able to be done. Sorry.

The best way to evaluate the buyer on here is to go to their feedback left for sellers and see if there are any suspicious looking feedback left there. Even then, that is not always correct because buyers here may have had a very bad experience with a seller and left the feedback justly. Set you blocks for buyers with so many unpaid items and the other criteria ebay lets you use to filter. Buyers cannot get negative feedback from sellers. As another poster noted, if they fall below 100 percent it is becuase they sold at one time or another and got that feedback. Best of luck on your sales.
