As long as I am able to ship mail I have plenty to do to keep busy. In fact I also have a large garden but somehow haven't gotten out there to do anything yet because I've been busy. If the mail stops I will be able to spend time doing inventory. I feel that keeping busy is one of the few ways to make our current stay-home situation at all bearable. That, and relief that nobody in the family is sick.

I am also thankful for my small eBay business. Not selling much but it still gives me plenty to do. Cleaning the house, finding forgotten treasure to list & tossing out items that have been listed umpteen times already.
Thankful for my Hubby & 4 cats to be stuck in the house with. Also eBay buyers who've become friends that live in Spain, UK & Italy. They help keep me sane! It's much worse in their countries but their attitudes are upbeat. We can do that too! Stay healthy & safe everyone.

Have an emergency supply of some food on hand for the furries of the home.
I was at the supermarket yesterday & not even a single can of any of the various wet cat food was on the shelf for sale.
Good thing I always keep an emergency supply of their favorites always at home.

eBay has helped me through rough patches before and is doing so now despite the decline in sales. Staying at home alone except for my dog Miss Zoey and our daily visits with our dog park friends is difficult. I am working my way through a to-do list as well as catching up on some TV shows I have missed and exchanging emails with friends and family, but I can come to eBay 24/7 and create a few listings or check on the boards.

Also, the vegetables I am growing will make a big difference if things get worse. If you don't have time or space for a garden but have a balcony plant a tomato and some basil.... all of us need to get away from the computer and headlines periodically. There is life outside of COVID-19 and eBay.
Be aware of planting schedules for your zone though! My husband keeps asking if we can plant basil and we're several weeks away!
It's cold weather planting now so today my daughter and I potted up pansies, chard, and parsley. I wonder if I got to the nursery just in time if they have closed? My daughter is home from her college which closed and has a lot of nervous energy. I pointed out all the area in the back yard where she can dig a new bed for planting seeds. Good, honest hard work in fresh air and sunshine.

Dirt is kind of my panacea for all ills. I don't have a regular garden (mostly woods here) but do have a little spice patch that I maintain. I'm also out on the local trails in the dirt. When all else fails, I know if I can get to dirt, it'll be all right, at least while I'm there!
Also, I sell a lot of clothing and people are going to wear out their duds at some point. Unless they want to go out wearing nothing but a mask and gloves like that meme, they're going to have to find SOMETHING. I've got a lot of somethings.

Hubby reports trails full of people (Virginia). He read/heard somewhere that the big National parks are asking people not to attend, to find quiet local wild spaces instead.
Today I observed what it appeared to be a large family walking all around the neighborhood. We exchanged smiles from a distance....
Maybe a silver lining is families spending a lot more time together. It's true here. My daughter was coming home only at Christmas before, now she's here indefinitely.

I had a Miss Zoey! She was a black Lab, best dog ever. I lost her three years ago at age 13. I still miss her sawing logs under my desk...that dog could snore so loud you could hear her in the next county!
Give your Miss Zoey a hug from me!

So thankful for our online business. Each small sold item brings me joy to pass along a treasure to someone and brighten their day. I have a small box of items of random fun or healthy things, as long as I can a little extra is going out to each person.
With this slow down neighbors are home we actually get to see one another from across the street, in the front yards, or passing to the mailbox (6' distance) . Today we were able to pass a new hot wheel over the back fence to our neighbors little boy.
We did go to the hardware store to buy a 2x4, my husband had to cut it down to 6' for my car. I turned around and he was holding the 2x4 out in front of him, "This is what 6 feet distance looks like" lol!

I'm glad to see people getting out and I hope it sticks, but I understand about not wanting to crowd trails and find quieter spaces. That's what I'm doing. People are roaming all over the place here (old mossy first ring suburb) and not crowding, but families seem to stick together - you can't really have your 4 year olds running way away from you, etc., and have to impose some order, but we yell at each other across the road lol. I like to run on trails south of where I live which are usually pretty quiet, but trying to choose especially quiet times now to do my running. Maybe this will remind us all of the good things of life, those not found in a cell phone but in the real fresh air of life - even if we DO have to stay 3 feet apart lol!
