Just noticed I have been upgraded from Guide to Rockstar. Not only that I just discovered I have 28 badges.

All of which strikes me as having the same value as the points on Whose Line Is It Anyways?

(Please do not give our SL Friends any ideas....lol. They keep being told posting here gets you nothing....they seem to be fixated on the "designations", etc.  Lol)

If anyone knows where eBay shows the ranking or meaning of these 'labels' anywhere ... I'd surely love to know.  There's nothing intuitive about them ... any more than there is to the color of the feedback stars.

Many of us started responding to members' questions long before there were labels or 'helpful votes'.  I  never understood the value of them ... and, frankly, find them embarrassing.

But congratulations on your 'promotion'!  😀 🙄

Truth be told I don't remember. Many years ago I was curious and one day I stumbled across it in one of eBay's voluminous pages. So I copied and pasted it to a doc file. The basic criteria for moving up the ladder was listed as:

- Starting topics

- Replying to topics

- Receiving Helpfuls on your posts

- Adding Helpfuls to posts you find helpful
- Posting great information that is marked as an Accepted Solution

- Posting great information that results in you being recognized as a contributor to a Knowledge Base article.

So there is a rhyme and reason to it.

But I can't remember ever looking to see how many badges anyone had before deciding if their question or answer was reasonable.
