I NEED HELP! ECS is telling me know that the New Listing Tool is mandatory.
Just got off the phone with ECS for the 3 time this morning. I was told by the 1st two times that my account would be reset to the old listing. Now I'm being told that the migration is MANDATORY and there is no way to go back!! That was from the highest level manager I was able to talk to, who honestly just sound like another ECS rep.
Six months I've been voicing my concerns to ECS and filling out "Tell us what you think" surveys.
Just this morning Aaron told me that there was no defined date for when the New Listing Tool would be mandatory. Aaron was ECS from the Listing Specialist team.
I read on the Discussion: "New Listing Tool Will It Be Mandatory In Future?" on 9/14/2016 somebody was told, "I called and demanded to opt out. NOPE, their switching everyone over and you can't change it back." So whoever they talk to was ABOSLUTELY WRONG!!!! My account Opted Out 3 different times this year. Now I'm afraid I'm talking to the same IGNORANT ECS rep that they talked to.
I need to hear from anybody selling on eBay that is still using the Old Listing Tool! I need to be able to explain that the old tool is still out there.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!

7/17/2017: YES YOU CAN STILL OPT OUT OF THE NEW LISTING TOOL
A dozen calls yesterday (Sunday; 7/16) and 5 hours on the phone with eBay Customer Nonsupport and I felt doomed.
1 call and 10 minutes this morning (Monday; 7/17) and I was able to Opt Out of the New Listing Tool.
1 call / 10 minutes vs ~12 calls / 5 hours: They really need to train their weekend Customer Nonsupport Staff!

As of 9/26, I am once again back into the new listing tool fiasco. Nothing has improved as to the fact that the new tool does not sync with eBay Inventory Items / Templates.
Once again I've been told that "There is No Opt out option." When I point out that that is what I was told back on 7/16, by a dozen eBay Listing Support agent; BUT on 7/17: 6:45 Jennifer - Opted me out in minutes. Record has been updated Call Number 1-121889621100;. Their reply, well now we really mean it!
Also, even though I have reported the GAP between the new listing tool, (bulksell.ebay.com) and eBay inventory / templates; at least a dozen times; it is still considered by eBay to be an unreported problem.
To add a twist: if I pull up my inventory item and edit it I still go to the old listing page (
cgi5.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ReviseSMTemplate&smTemplateId=185XYZ124). SO THE PAGE STILL EXISTS.
TWIST 2: If I relist an item, that is attached to an inventory item, with the new tool. Then I make changes to the Title, Description, Condition, BIN Price, weight, shipping policy, etc, etc; that info DOES NOT PASS BACK to the appropriate inventory item; BUT the inventory count is affected! so the new tools is quazy linked to the inventory item; but only by a very thin thread!
Seriously, am I the only person on eBay that uses eBay's Inventory Function?

I just be living under a rock as I have no idea what you are talking about. I use INKFROG. Love it.....$15.00 a month and no issues.
