Is anyone else having trouble with ebay not removing the hurricane related late shipping defects from their accounts? I'm in the Houston area and our hurricane was August 25. It's almost 2 months later. I'm not exaggerating when I say I've spoken to TEN different ebay support people over the last 2 months. The last person I spoke with said that the defect would be removed from my account by my October review date (which was yesterday).
It's still there.
This is unacceptable. We were going though unimaginable h3ll down here for 10 days. I couldn't have shipped those packages if I tried. The post office was completely closed for 5 straight days and I got all packages out the very morning they reopened (and even when they did reopen mail was being rerouted all over the place for about 2 weeks).
I've been selling for a little over a year and a half but I've been a buyer here since August '98. I've put up with every ridiculous thing they've thrown at us and have never made a peep. But this is just too much. I'd like every single one of those lying pieces of garbage who told us we wouldn't be punished for late shipments to come down here and experience even a 1/4 of what we were going through (and still are going through in many cases) and then tell me exactly how I was supposed to ship a package when the post office was under water / completely closed for days.
I don't know. Maybe I was supposed to flag down a rescue helicopter and see if they could fly me to a post office far far away?
I am just so disgusted with ebay right now.

Ask to be transferred to the Trust n Safety, or Account Specialist Dept...
Again ask if they see notes on your account of past calls...if not, ask them to make notes...
This site has gone downhill bigtime in the last few years and I feel your pain.
If you persist, credit will be given, but it shouldnt have to be on the onus of ones like you.

Give eBay Customer Service a Call...have them flag your call to include comments/notes and ask for someone to follow-up email or call you back.
That probably wont happen and you will have to call back a second time...ask if they see notes on your account about the last time you called.

Hi. Thanks for responding but as I said in the original post I've already called TEN times over the last 2 months (I'm keeping screen shots of my cell account after every call). That is NINE times more than I should have had to call. Every time I've called they've noted the account and the next person reads various notes back to me. But still nothing is done to fix it. It's just beyond frustrating.

Thanks again, Sib. I'll try again on Monday and ask for those departments.
