How to speak to an eBay customer service representative?

It used to be that if I couldn't find the information I needed on the website I could call eBay or click on  "request a call" and receive a call back fairly promptly.  I only ever called regarding issues that weren't clearly covered on the website.  Now its virtually impossible to even find their number or request a call.  Any suggestions for how to more easily access this information?

How to speak to an eBay customer service representative?

Go to the main Help Page

Scroll to the bottom

Click on Contact Us

Follow the prompts to specify the reason

Some reasons will direct you to specific help pages

Some reasons will direct you to Chat

Some reasons will give you a number to call or the ability to request a call back

It all depends on the topic you need help with and your previous history of contact, these factors determine which help service will be offered. It also depends on the time of day and day of the week you are trying to get help as not all help is available 24/7.

TBH, I search on google or bing first and follow results to the correct eBay help.  It's a lot faster than fighting through eBay's somewhat counter-intuitive help pages.

Googling to find eBay Help pages can be much quicker than following eBay links, but care should be taken when following search results to make sure users are not lead to a bogus third party site, particularly when looking for customer service.

Scammers have taken advantage of the lack of a publicly available phone number for eBay by putting up fake eBay customer service pages with eBay logos and phone numbers that lead to scammers, and then buying ads on Google so those pages are served up in search results when searching for eBay customer service. The ads may appear to link to eBay, but in fact lead elsewhere.

See here for an example of such a fake ad page appearing in search results (at the top!), and how to report such a page to google:
