The short story:
Sold an item ($50) on 5/13, and shipped 5/14, via USPS Certified Mail. Sent to a Confirmed address.
On 5/15, I get an MC010 email (Buyer account compromised)
5/17, Item is at local USPS awating pickup
5/19, Buyer reports item not delivered, and immediately wins case
5/20, Buyer goes to local UPSP and picks up/signs for package.
PayPal yanked the $50 from my account and now the item is with the buyer. I've called eBay twice and appealed the case, but they said their might be nothing I can do at this moment.
What do I have to do to report fraud? I can no longer view the item becuase of the MC010 that was put on the listing.

I am wondering if supplying a tracking number to eBay might have saved you? This instant closing of an INR case is not normal.

I had a case where the customer claimed the package was delivered 'empty'. I filed with the USPS and made a huge stink to ebay as well because this customer was lying and I was sure of it. Some customers are just very clever.

Holy smokes! Thanks Mr. C! I called PayPal, they brought up my transaction and saw the details. Within 2 minutes, they credited my account.
couldabeenworse: I uploaded tracking as soon as I got the notification in the Resolution Center. Minutes later, the case was favored for the buyer.
