How to mark a question as answered?

I used to mark questions as answered, and now I cannot find this option. Does anybody know how to do this?

How to mark a question as answered?

Hey @yoonix1 - eBay made some slight format adjustments to the Seller Hub Active listings page about 6 weeks ago. The down arrow in the actions column is now hidden when the default action is long in character length. Don't know if eBay changed font size maybe, or if they adjusted the column width.

To fix this, click on the right line of the actions column and drag it to the right. This will expand the column width. Once you do that, the down arrow will appear next to 'respond to questions' at which point you can select other actions such as 'mark as answered'.

Go to your Seller Hub.  You will see on the upper left side if you have any messages you need to read or mark as read.

Then in the listing box there is a line item for listings with outstanding questions.

I use it all the time.  The Seller Hub is just a place with a wealth of information important to sellers.

I just checked it and I had one, but I had already replied to that question.  How do you make it stop saying there's an oustanding question?

I've had that happen occasionally too.  I just check it off and mark it as read again and that usually takes care of it.

You don't have to look there or at least it is easier to just look in the upper left corner.  It will tell you if you have unread messages and you just click on it.  It will take you right to the messages so you can check them off and mark them read.

If it is regarding a question in the listing, that appears in the Listing box.  And basically it is the same process as above.

This is about marking questions as answered, not marking messages as read.

The column width issue has been going on since mid-June.

If it helps to have a visual of what sellers are seeing:

What you explained in your first reply made total sense to me and I was able to quickly get the arrow and mark that message as answered, then the prompt disappeared from the box.  SUCCESS.

It is the same thing.  My poor choice of word.  But it is the same place as I previously described for listing questions.

Don't be surprised if the prompt comes back again in the coming days. I've used the Mark As Answered action on many listings in the past, where I answered the buyer's question but the Questions counter never cleared itself. I'd hit the Mark As Answered action and reset the Questions number down to zero, only to notice a few days later that the supposedly "cleared" counter was back again.

It's a minor annoyance, no biggie, but makes me wish that they would pay more attention to testing their code before releasing it, and fixing it when bugs are noted.

Now I'm getting deja vu because I feel like I've read a post about that happening.  If so then it's a very old bug, feels like a very old memory, like from my earliest days here, 2018.

It is indeed a very old bug. I regard it as just part of the scenery now. 😉

Just for yucks, I went into my Active Listings page on Seller Hub this morning and sorted the listings by their Questions count, ordering them from highest to lowest. That brought up about 11 entries showing some number of Questions to be answered (in reality, there were no questions to which I have not responded), the highest of which was showing 5 supposedly unanswered, and the rest mostly 1 each.

I have now walked down the list and did a Mark As Answered on each one, so the board is cleared. I'll post an update here if any come back.
