The problem is that you aren't going to amass any type of fortune by continuing to have some of the highest prices.

Then how does Saks and Neiman Marcus (just to name a few) do it?

One does this by creating value in the mind of the buyer. The whole world operates on that principle. A $100 bill has no intrinsic value, just a bit of paper, but we have been convinced that it has value, and so do merchants from whom you might wish to exhange that $100 bill for, oh, some Nieman-Marcus gold-foil-wrapped chocolate candies, that we just know we will enjoy WAAAAY more than that cheap stuff at Walmart..

and when some Nieman-Marcus gold-foil-wrapped chocolate candies are $100 there, you can not buy them for $100 and expect to find many that are willing to pay you $150 for them. Maybe a few, but not many.

Well for one thing they offer styles when they first come out and they aren't available at the 'discount' stores yet. Many of your items are available at places like Nordstrom Rack or other discount places for a fraction of what you are charging. If you want to compare yourself to stores like that you need to change your inventory. At the moment, you aren't competing with Saks, you are competing with discount stores and other ebay sellers so you have to price accordingly. But...you've been told all of this before so that's my last comment on that particular subject.
Off topic...You advertise guaranteed free shipping in your titles but if I bought a pair of your shoes, you would charge around $50 for shipping to Canada. Seems like you are misleading buyers.

Yes, you are paying for the top notch service.
Must be why Nordstrom is leaving the mall in my hometown. Buyers do not want to pay extra for someone to come around the register and hand you the package if the quality of the item is equal to that you can purchase in Walmart.
People who went through the recession know well it will happen again. But this time they are planning for it by making sure their assets are high and their debts low.

Have a bunch of different buyer accounts and buy a bunch of expensive things and file SNAD for all of them and just return a rock. Ka-Ching!
PS: Oh and make sure to leave the sellers a negative feedback
