How to list Variations

I have been on ebay for over 20 years....I was excited to see the variations option because I have dozens of similar ornaments to sell for Christmas.

I spent most of yesterday trying to post 8 of them.  I followed every instruction on ebay, called a chat and he tried several ways and his method was giving a "you can't do this" on my end.  We eventually got disconnected.

This morning I was actually able to FIND a place that stated variation.  It is driving me nuts, as I cannot understand what the prompts are wanting me to do.    I can't figure out how to do the scroll for my variations, with the choices at all.  I got stuck with putting in a price, too.   

I have two of the same , without variations somehow.   This AM it looked like I succeeded wonky, but it states live on my end, but doesn't show in the seller hub.....or on ebay, at least for me.

This would be such a cool option for me, but I have wasted so much time, it seems more time consuming than doing it individually.

When the chat helper on ebay, has to try 3 or 4 things and none worked, it is rather concerning.

Anyone on here know how to do this easily with results?

Someone at some point had a nice "how-to" posted here (or on youtube maybe)....

once you do your first one it is an easy operation. You can create a variation (i.e. color, size, etc...) add a UPC, inventory number, and position in the list. 

I have tried explaining the process ad nauseum...with little success...

either the poster ghosted the thread, gave up without advising us, or was simply not comprehending my directions.

Try a simple 1 item variation, list it, try it. If it is right, try another until you get it.

You created Ornament...now you need to create the "attributes" for the "Ornament" (which might be character or color?) I am assuming they are all ornaments of differing styles....

Create new listing, click on CREATE LISTING.    EBAY will ask you what are you listing?  Type "christmas ornament" (EBAY will show you existing listings and ask to do click on one that best describes your listing....do NOT click on any of those). 

EBAY page will change, and you click on CONTINUE WITHOUT MATCH.    Blank listing will appear, go down on the page and click VARIATIONS (because you 2 ornaments that are identical...you could just call variation #1, #2, #3, #4 (etc).   You can also add your own personal descriptions (color/shape).

#3 Elf GREEN

After you created all your variations (go back in and add photos and price for each item).   Good luck to you!
